Drinking ample amount of water forms an integral part of losing weight. If you drink large amount of water, you will not feel hungry all the time and the water would also prove to be beneficial for you. Avoid other drinks like juices during this period and use just plain simple water to quench your thirst.

If you want to lose weight in a week, you will have to give up all the white grain products. This includes white bread and things like pasta and spaghetti. Replace these items with whole grain products and eat lots of vegetables. Brown bread is an alternative to white bread while go for salads as your meals.

Exercise is essential when it comes to losing weight. It is imperative that you allot a certain time to exercise and the best form of exercise that would enable you to lose weight in a week is cardio exercise. Do at least 30 minutes of cardio exercise everyday. This will increase your heart rate which in turn would lead to an increase in your metabolic levels and thus reduction in your weight. If you want to conduct your exercises with more energy you are allowed to take a break from water and help yourself with a cup of coffee. However use skim milk and do not put in sugar. Taking a cup of coffee an hour before you exercise would give you the energy to exercise rigorously.

Give up on all the junk food that has become a part of your life and increase the duration of your sleep by half an hour.

If you have a lot of spare time on your hands, find an activity that is going to keep you busy so that you do not feel hungry. The activity should be physical.

Apart from your regular exercises, do not shy away from exercising or running whenever you have time if you want to lose weight in a week.
